I'm a Gainesville-based entrepreneur, community builder, creative, and lover of random adventures. I've spent years creating spaces and systems that help people connect, but The Hyve is a little different.
This one started with something I wanted in my own life too: more friendship, more experiences, and more reasons to get out and enjoy life with good people.
I'm not interested in filling everybody's calendar with more obligations. I want The Hyve to make it easier for us to say, “Girl, what are you doing Saturday?” and actually have an answer.
I'm building the structure behind the scenes so that, inside The Hyve, we can just show up and enjoy ourselves.
I'll see you inside. 🤎
Remember those cheap girls' dates I was talking about back in July?
Yeah… we're actually doing it.
The Hyve is a space for Black women to make new friends, try new things and make a little more room for fun without spending a whole lot of money to do it.
We're talking picnics in the park, nature walks, $7 movie days, craft nights, Airbnb sleepovers, beach trips, random adventures and plenty of ideas we haven't thought of yet.
No pressure to show up to everything. No need to have it all together.
Come when you can. Bring a friend when you want.
Let's make some memories and have some fun. 🤎

The Hyve is a social club based in Gainesville, Florida. We organize social gatherings, recreational activities, creative experiences, and community events designed primarily for Black women to connect and build friendships.
Events may be free or have associated costs depending on the activity. Any applicable costs are communicated before registration. The Hyve does not currently require a paid membership to join the community.
How We Got Here
Back in July 2026, I made a simple post on Facebook:
I wanted to go on more girls' dates.
Nothing fancy. Picnics in the park. Nature walks. $7 movie days. Arts and crafts. Airbnb sleepovers with takeout. Random trips to the springs or the beach. The kind of things that get us out of the house, around good people, and havi
ng a good time without needing to spend a whole lot of money.
More than 100 women responded.
And I thought... okay, so it's not just me.
There were a whole lot of us looking for more opportunities to connect, make new friends, get outside, try something different, and simply enjoy ourselves.
So instead of leaving it as another Facebook post we'd all forget about, I decided to actually do something with it.
That's how The Hyve began.
What We're About
The Hyve creates opportunities for Black women to gather through social outings, recreational activities, creative experiences, day trips, and other community events in Gainesville and beyond.
But underneath all of that, the idea is pretty simple:
Come when you can. Bring a friend when you want. Try something new. Meet somebody new. Have some fun.
There's no pressure to show up to everything. You don't need to have it all together. And you definitely don't need an elevator pitch.
Some days we might be sitting on blankets in the park with snacks and wine. Other days we might be making something, catching a movie, exploring a spring, taking a little road trip, or trying something none of us has done before.
We're figuring some of it out as we go.
That's part of the fun.
